How to Sponsor a Veteran’s Journey — And Why It Matters

By Ensley Howell, The Rinaldi Project

What Does It Really Mean to Support a Veteran?

For many of us, “supporting veterans” means saying thank you for your service, flying a flag, or donating when a fundraiser comes around. But the truth is: real support is strategic, personal, and transformational.

At The Rinaldi Project, we make it simple for individuals, businesses, and organizations to sponsor a veteran through our full five-phase journey—and change their life forever.

Why Sponsorship Works

Veteran transitions aren’t solved by one resume class or job fair. They require comprehensive, personalized support—something most don’t receive through traditional channels.

That’s why we built a structured, donor-funded model that walks veterans through every phase:

  1. Outreach & Onboarding

  2. Career & Education Services

  3. Mental Health & Family Wellness

  4. Community Engagement & Leadership

  5. Mentorship & Long-Term Support

When you sponsor a veteran’s journey, you’re not giving them a handout—you’re giving them a lifeline and a launchpad.

What Your Sponsorship Covers

Depending on the tier you choose, your donation will directly fund:

  • Career coaching & certification prep

  • Therapy sessions & family coaching

  • Resume, LinkedIn, and interview support

  • Peer mentorship and community reentry

  • Case management and alumni services

All services are 100% free for the veteran—because the burden shouldn’t be on them.

Sponsorship Tiers

We offer three simple, high-impact options:

  • Charlie Tier ($2,300) – Covers the cost of a veteran’s career development + wellness support

  • Bravo Tier ($3,450) – Funds half of a veteran’s journey, including mental health and leadership coaching

  • Alpha Tier ($6,900) – Fully sponsors one veteran’s transformation across all five phases

Why It Matters

“I didn’t think anyone saw me anymore. Then someone sponsored my journey. Now I’ve got a job, stability, and hope again.”

Luis, U.S. Army Veteran & Alpha Tier Graduate

Behind every sponsorship is a life changed. A family supported. A future rebuilt.

Businesses Can Sponsor Too

If you’re a business leader or corporate decision-maker, The Rinaldi Project also offers:

  • Silver Sponsor – $10,000

  • Gold Sponsor – $50,000

  • Platinum Sponsor – $100,000

These tiers fund multiple veteran journeys and come with impact reports, co-branding opportunities, and employee engagement options.
