Stronger Together: Honoring Our Heroes, Building Our Community
At The Rinaldi Project, we believe service doesn’t end when the uniform comes off — and it doesn’t just belong to those who wear it. Every service member’s journey is shared by their families, their friends, and their communities. In April, we honor this truth through the Month of the Military Child, recognizing the sons and daughters whose courage often goes unseen but whose strength fuels the future.
They remind us: Service is a family mission.
As we move through April, our focus sharpens toward a day that carries profound meaning for all Americans — Memorial Day. It’s a time not just to reflect, but to take action, to push ourselves, to remember in the most visceral, personal way possible.
Countdown to Murph: Honoring a Legacy Through Action
In just a few short weeks, we’ll join hands — and lace up our shoes — for the Hero WOD “Murph” Challenge.
This year, The Rinaldi Project is proud to partner with a Southern California CrossFit affiliate, working out side-by-side with their members, pushing past limits in honor of Navy Lieutenant Michael P. Murphy, who made the ultimate sacrifice for his team and his country.
Murph isn’t just a workout.
It’s a commitment.
A way to feel the grit, the discipline, the selflessness that service demands.
1 Mile Run. 100 Pull-Ups. 200 Push-Ups. 300 Air Squats. 1 Mile Run.
Many will wear a 20lb vest or body armor — not for themselves, but for the ones who can’t be here to run alongside us.
This Is Bigger Than Fitness — It’s About Legacy
The Murph Challenge is more than sweat and muscle. It’s about community, sacrifice, and remembering the fallen — not as statistics, but as real people with real families, real dreams, and real stories.
By coming together — veterans, civilians, athletes, families — we send a message:
We see you. We honor you. We carry your legacy forward.
Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or simply someone who believes in service and remembrance, you have a place in this movement.
How You Can Get Involved
Even if you can’t be there with us in person, there are so many ways to stand with us:
Do your own Murph Challenge wherever you are.
Share your story or your workout journey and tag us @TheRinaldiProject.
Donate to The Rinaldi Project, fueling our mission to help veterans successfully transition home and build new futures.
Because together, we don’t just remember — we rebuild.
We don’t just honor the past — we empower the future.
Join us. Honor them. Be part of something bigger.
